Boards

Last updated: October 16, 2026

Track the jobs that are not orders on a work board. A board is a row of columns. Each card is a task. Drag a card across to move the task to the status that column stands for. A task takes an assignee, a due date, a priority and watchers. It also points at the order, contact, item, location or other task it is about. That ties the work to its record. Tasks also have a separate list. Its saved views show open tasks and each status, from Assigned to Completed. Tick tasks or boards to edit, move or delete them together. Save a list’s filters, search, sort and columns as a view, and import or export tasks and boards as a CSV file.

In this section

  • Work boards and tasks: Browse your work boards and every task in two tabs, each with saved views, bulk actions and a create button.
  • Bulk actions on tasks and boards: Tick tasks or boards in a list, or select cards on a board, then edit, move or delete them together after a check of which ones will change.
  • Importing and exporting tasks and boards: Download your tasks or boards as a CSV file from the Actions menu, and import a file with the same columns to create or update them.
  • Creating a work board: Create a work board with a title, a description and the team that decides who can change it.
  • Columns and cards: Add, rename, sort, collapse and reorder a board’s columns, and drag cards between them to change a task’s status.
  • Editing and deleting a work board: Change a board’s title, description or team from Edit, and delete it or open its audit history from More Actions.
  • Creating and editing a task: Create a task with a title, a due date, a priority and a place on a board, and change any of it later from the same form.
  • Assignees, watchers and status: Set who a task belongs to, follow it as a watcher, and move it through assigned, in progress, on hold and completed.
  • Parent records and task numbers: Link a task to the order, contact, item, location or task it is about, and copy its T-number from the header.
  • Tags and notes on a task: Tag a task so a board’s search finds it, and keep notes and files on its timeline.
